Car hire Japan

Japan is a country located in East Asia. It haves a population of 126,659,683 people and it is using the Japanese yen (¥). In Japan you have to drive on the left direction of the road.

To hire a car in Japan you will have to have a valid credit car, a driving license and an International Driving License(issued in your country) and a passport. Car hire companies will hire a car to every driver 18 years old and older. Cars drive on the left side of the road and road signs and rules follow international standards, and most signs on major roads are in Japanese and English. Pedestrians have the right-of -way in any case. Drivers tend to be well mannered but you may encounter drivers speeding on a red light, or cyclists going the wrong way, so always look out. Parking inside the cities is very difficult and the use of parking lots is recommended. Generally the roads are toll free, except some scenic roads and freeways, where the amount of money is calculated with the distance covered on the freeway. There are gas stations everywhere. All old stations have attendants but new stations have the option of automatic pumps that accept credit cards.
