Car hire New Zealand

New Zealand is a country located in Australasia. It haves a population of 4,433,100 people and it is using the New Zealand dollar (NZ$). In New Zealand you have to drive on the left direction of the road.

To hire a car in New Zealand you will need a driving license, a passport and a credit card. Most hire companies require the driver to be older than 20 years old and if the driving license is not in English an International Driving Permit is necessary. Pedestrians always have the right of way and all passengers must wear their seat belts at all times. Parking is strictly prohibited at zones with double yellow lines. When you reach a curve on the road where there is a speed limit it is strongly advised to follow the speed limit, otherwise you may not be able to control your car and enter the opposite lane causing an accident. There is only one toll road in New Zealand with electronic charge that can be avoided without additional time travelling. All types of gas are available and gas stations accept both cash and credit cards.
