Car rental Belgium

Belgium is a country located in Central Europe. It haves a population of 11,041,266 people and it is using the Euro (€). In Belgium you have to drive on the right direction of the road.

Rental car agencies in Belgium need an identity card or passport, a valid credit card and a driving license. The minimum age limit is 21 years old but there are car rental companies that may charge you more if you are 21-25. Belgium has a dense network of modern toll-free motorways, but some secondary roads in Wallonia are poorly maintained. Traffic signs are in the local language of the region, so a GPS is needed. When you approach a roundabout, give way to the traffic already inside the roundabout unless traffic signs show otherwise. The use of seat belts is obligatory to all passengers of a vehicle and children under the age of 12 have to seat to a child's seat or use special restraints. The parking areas at the side of the road are marked with blue lines displaying a blue parking disc, usually valid for 3 hours. All grades of unleaded petrol, diesel and LPG are available as well as lead substitute additive. The stations are open from 8 am to 8 pm but there are do-it-yourself pumps that accept credit or debit cards.
