Car rental Bolivia

Bolivia is a country located in South America. It haves a population of 10,907,778 people and it is using the Bolivian boliviano (Bs.). In Bolivia you have to drive on the right direction of the road.

To rent a car in Bolivia, you must be at least 25 years old (age may vary depending on the vehicle) and have held a license for more than 1 year, an international driving license, a passport and a valid credit card. Bolivia is famous for having some of the most dangerous roads in the world. Some routes along the Andes are single lane, dirt roads with breathtaking drop-offs. Road conditions in Bolivia are hazardous, with the vast majority of roads unpaved. Drivers of vehicles involved in traffic accidents are expected to remain at the scene until the arrival of local police authorities. An air conditioner is also a safety feature, allowing you to drive with windows closed. Thieves can and do snatch purses through open windows of moving cars. Keep car doors locked at all times. Seat belts when driving are a good idea as the road surfaces are not always flat. The use of a mobile phone while driving is prohibited, with the exception of a hands-free system. Avoid driving at night or during rain and don't leave valuables in the car. Don't park your car on the street overnight, select a well-lit area. The tolling system in Bolivia covers most roads: a stamped receipt is acquired at the first toll and stamped on the following toll posts. We advise you to pay attention to and maintain your tank full whenever possible, as petrol stations are sparse in more remote areas of the country and usually sold privately.
