Croatia is a country located in Southern Europe. It haves a population of 4,290,612 people and it is using the Croatian kuna (kn). In Croatia you have to drive on the right direction of the road.

To rent a car in Croatia you need a driving license, a valid credit card and an identity card or a passport. If you are from a country of the EU, you do not need an International Driving Permit. All passengers must wear seat belts, talking on the phone is prohibited, lights must be on during the night or when visibility is under 100 metres and when approaching a roundabout, vehicles entering it have the right of way. There are parking zones in the cities, the red, yellow and green zone. Parking in red zone is allowed for one hour, in yellow zone for two and in green zone for three, the tickets are purchased from the machines and they should be displayed on the windshield. There are tolls on national highways, bridges and tunnels. At tunnels, bridges and short motorways you pay when entering, whereas on highways you get a ticket when entering and pay at the exit according to the distance covered. Almost all gas stations have attendants and they are open from 6:00-20:00, although some are open all 24 hours and only a few of them accept credit cards.
