Car rental Ukraine

Ukraine is a country located in Eastern Europe. It haves a population of 45,888,000 people and it is using the Ukrainian hryvnia (₴). In Ukraine you have to drive on the right direction of the road.

To rent a car in Ukraine you will need a valid credit card, an ID or passport and a valid driving license. Car rental companies and police may need an International Driving Permit if your driving license doesn't have an English translation. You should always be aware that there may be potholes at the motorways, bicycles that could even go on the wrong direction, as well as horse drawn carts. Parking the car is rather easy, as you can park on the side of the road, next to the pavement, usually for free. There are some parking areas and parking lots where the prices are low. Some toll highways are being constructed, but all of them have alternative non-toll roads. Gas stations have diesel and unleaded gasoline, and you should remember that in rural shops you may have to pay before the refill and usually in cash, although more and more start to accept credit cards.
