Sweden is a country located in Northern Europe. It haves a population of 9,514,406 people and it is using the Swedish krona (kr). In Sweden you have to drive on the right direction of the road.

To rent a car in Sweden you will need a driving license, an ID or passport and a valid credit card. If the driving license was issued outside EU but is in English, German or French will be accepted, in any other case an International Driving Permit will be needed. Drivers must be over 18 to drive in Sweden but over 21 or even 25 to rent a car. You should give way to vehicles on your right, lights must be on all day, all passengers should wear seatbelts and the use of mobile phones is not permitted. The roads is in excellent condition and Swedish are known as being the best drivers in the world. Be extra careful for wild animals, like moose and reindeer, especially during sunrise and sunset as well as large trucks that are usually larger than the trucks in continental Europe. Parking is controlled by meters, it is considered being rather expensive and it has time limit, whereas parking lots have unlimited parking time. There are no tolls in the roads of Sweden, with the exception of Oresund Bridge to Copenhagen and a congestion charge for going into the centre of Stockholm. There are all types of gas available and shops have both automated pumps as well as pumps operated by attendants.
